How to Change a PDF in Adobe Acrobat 8

Adobe Acrobat 8 is popular software that allows you to create and edit PDF files. Unlike other documents, a PDF maintains its formatting when shared with others. Using the full Acrobat program, you can change and edit both the text content and the images of a PDF file. It is even possible to save the PDF in a different format, making it easy to bring the contents from Adobe Acrobat to Microsoft Word or Corel WordPerfect.

  1. Launch Adobe Acrobat. Wait for the computer to finish loading the program, then click “File” followed by “Open.” Select the PDF that you want to change.
  2. Step 2

Click on the area of the PDF you want to edit. If it is text, a cursor will appear where you clicked. If it is an image, the image will be highlighted.

  3. Step 3

Modify the text by typing in additional content or deleting. You can move the picture by clicking it and dragging it. You can also change its size by clicking and dragging from one of the corners.

  4. Step 4

Save the changes by clicking ‘”Files,” followed by “Save.” If you want to save the PDF as a different format, click “Files” followed by “Save As.” The Save window appears with a format selection area on the bottom. Click on the format you want to change the PDF to and click “Save.”
